Calzone Pie

Ingredients:
Cheese
Chicken
Capsicum
Mushrooms
Olives
Corn

For dough:
Flour ½ kg
Oil 1 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Yeast, 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Milk powder, 2 tbsp

For sauce:
Tomato paste 1 cup
Ketchup 1/2 cup
Garlic, chopped, 1 tbsp
Onion, chopped, 1 tbsp
Salt & Pepper
Mixed herbs
Oregano
Sugar, a pinch
Red chilies, crushed 1 tsp

Method:
Preheat oven to 200C.

Take a bowl and mix in all the dry ingredients; flour, yeast, salt, sugar and milk powder. Now add oil and knead it using water for at least 6-8 minutes or till you achieve soft, smooth dough. Let it rest for at least one hour.

Make the sauce by heating oil in a pan, fry the onions and garlic together till soft, (do not fry them till they are brown!) Now add in all the ingredients for the sauce, mix well and cook for 5-8 minutes on a very low heat. Now divide the dough into four equal balls. Sprinkle the work surface with some flour and roll out the dough (thin if you want it crispy, a little thick if you want it to be soft and bread-like). Now place the filling (sauce, chicken, capsicum, mushrooms, olives etc) onto one half of the rolled out dough; fold dough over filling to cover and seal the edges. Put some shredded cheese on top.

Place the pie on a greased baking tray and bake for 20-30 minutes until dough is browned. Serve warm!
